About

I am a Gifted Education Advocate and work with gifted communities throughout the U.S. and worldwide. I have also worked in education for 15 years as a substitute teacher and paraeducator. I hold a B.A. degree in Sociology.

I began Gifted Parenting Support in March of 2010 to support parents of young gifted children. Today it is read in over 110 countries and its readership includes parents, educators, and academics. Our Facebook Page has over 4,100 Likes.

Since March of 2012, I have worked for the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) as the moderator of Global #gtchat on Twitter which is  held Tuesdays at 8 PM ET. An average of 1,200 tweets reaching over 1.5 million Twitter accounts are devoted to this global discussion each week. Under my leadership, the #gtchat community has expanded to include transcripts at Storify, a Blog, a Pinterest Page, and Facebook Page.
